Amazingly Mitch and I ended up having a day off together; Monday of all days. We hung out and went on a photographic alphabet hunt and put together this panel of our last name. We're going to look for more, better representations of the letters but for now we wanted to put this together. :)

First Week of Rotation: Surgery
This has been one crazy difficult week. Mitch has started his surgery rotation and he is being emotionaly, physically, and mentally put to the test. It's difficult to see him be so tired and overworked. Our scedules allow us to see eachother for just a short time in the middle of the night, like two passing ships. This weekend we will have a bit more time though and I'm looking forward to that!!! He is having some great experiences. This month is really going to teach him a lot about the field, himself, and medicine, but also drain him. I'm glad it's slower at work for me so I can help out where I can. I'm amazed at how many surgeries they've already had him helping with! He gets to be involved in the 'helping people' part in a very hands-on way. It doesn't feel like he's in school anymore eventhough he is. After each rotation he has a test and I think he will do well on this one. :)

In an attempt to add another post before a year goes by since my last post...
We have been too busy to really be up to too much. Mitch started his rotations a month ago as his third year of medical school starts and has been working in family medicine first. He will switch to surgery next week for the next four weeks and on it goes... I have been working now for almost two months now at my new job at Cutter Aviation Deer Valley. So far it has been great and I love being in my field of study. Before I started here I was able to participate in Girls Camp for church as a director. It was fun but I'm glad all the planning and preparing is over. Mitch took his first round of boards (medical tests) and did well! It's been too hot here for any fun outdoor trips locally and we do not have the time to get away just yet. Hopefully the fall will bring some extra time along with nicer weather...none of this 115 stuff!
